My envelope to return my absentee ballot in the state of WI was a prepaid envelope. No one should have to pay postage on the return envelope of an absentee ballot especially when the ballot has on it a Presidential Preference. Man, I haven’t used stamps in probably 6 or 7 years, at least. Who has a book of stamps just lying around? I mean, hey, good for you if you do, but me? I’d have to go to the post That Bitch Carole Baskin Bob’s Burger shirt, along with who knows how many other people. Also, no matter how you want to spin it, it is literally a charge to submit your ballot, regardless of who the money goes to (the postal service is part of the federal government, you know), making it a literal poll tax. Voting is basic to citizenship, and democracy demands and requires our participation. The 2nd Amendment does not require you to own firearms, nor does a voter pose a risk of harm. A gun owner does. If you loudly proclaim you are a responsible gun owner, I will accept that but won’t believe it unless you have demonstrated responsibility by attending classes requiring demonstration of your ability and judgment. If you wish, those might be funded by your states Corrections budget, and taught by state-certified trainers at no expense to you. So seniors, people with disabilities, military service members, and college students shouldn’t be allowed to vote? And the fact that we’re in the middle of a pandemic and are supposed to avoid crowds means nothing either? I didn’t say that. Please don’t be insulting. I’m in Wisconsin where the stamps are provided. If you don’t know what happened here yesterday then you need to get some facts. It’s not the safest way to vote. It’s the dangerous way to vote. Democrats lost 33,000 votes and never did find then. People can cheat and fraud and can be so dishonest. Let keep it the way it’s been for years.
