Support Black businesses without asking for a discount shirt
Kai is an amazing, articulate, beautiful and brave little girl. No laws in Texas or any state should dictate which bathroom she can use. I realize that it will be many years before she can have the necessary surgeries to make her body physical female, but at her tender age, she she be allowed to identify and be treated as a girl. It’s complicated to explain this Support Black businesses without asking for a discount shirt to children her age, but adults need t become educated about how to explain this to their children without anger or condemnation. I think the children will sort this out before the adults do. Let’s hope that state legislatures can get their acts together and face things as they are, and not force children like Kai to be someone they’re not.Freedom to associate is a fundamental right. Businesses that discriminate should be, and are, subject to public school l scrutiny and boycotts. But the government shouldn’t be forcing anyone (except Government employees) to associate with another person.
