I voted the primary by mail and will VOTE the same way at election time in Nov. So easy. Just call your election site in your city and ask them to mail you a form to sign and mail it back to them. You can also go in person, but with the Corona Virus, it’s better by mail. This primary was my first time voting in Washington state. All votes are by mail. A week and a half to send in my ballot. Drop off boxes at most libraries. If you don’t receive your ballot they are barcoded so you can print a new one yourself or pick one up from designated places. Disabled folks can vote in person in specific places if they need assistance. And lastly, I could log in on election day and find out if my ballot was received and counted. Smoothest election I have ever voted in. This should be the model. I vote by mail in Florida. Anyone can by simple request. Much easier. When I lived in NY, you first had to state that you intended to be out of the state on election day. If you changed your mind later and were not going to be out of state, you could still vote by mail. Every state should offer vote by mail for everyone. Many people have to work or have other obligations. You should make voting as EASY as possible. The entire state of Oregon uses paper ballots. Counties throughout California are now using them as well- 12 million people this Obama called me Clinger Hillary calls me Deplorable Terrorists call me Infidel Trump calls me American shirt. They’re wonderful! They address all the issues that currently exist: long wait times, employment issues, transportation, being ill or temporarily disabled, hospitalized as well as addressing computer hacking and creating a hard copy to use for recounts if needed. The US has the longest election season of any country. There’s plenty of time to count the ballots.
