So fortunate to live in a state, Oregon, where voting by mail has long been the norm. I have always returned my ballot at the Central Library, but this year my ballot may need to be posted; and glad that’s an established option. I get what you’re saying, and I don’t disagree. But given the fact that people already get worked up over elections, IRL elections will only cause the pandemic to flare up even worse than it already is. That’s a sad fact of how things are, as it’s not like we can just ban infected or suspected infected individuals from voting as that would violate their rights, but allowing them out in public is a threat to us all. An all mail-in ballot, with drop-boxes and postage-paid envelopes for those who are not near a dropbox is the best way to go. It has been seen to work well. Yes, as in the video, there are some edge cases that necessitate the possibility to vote in person. But for the majority, vote by mail is far far better since it overcomes so many problems. We don’t want to vote from home. A person can cheat. One state might lose 30,000 ballots. Like the Democrats in Lowa caucus. Democrats couldn’t even do one state. We vote from home every election since 1998 in Oregon! It’s the most secure way to vote! That’s why Republicans hate it, they can’t cheat! BTW, illegal immigrants can’t vote in California! You heard that on fox faux news! Are they looking into people’s houses? No expectation of privacy in public places. That is why we can film cops. This is fantastic! This should help cut back on the astounding amount of crime! If you’re not doing anything illegal, you shouldn’t care. Besides, there is no expectation of privacy in public places.
