Christine Brannon-Miles did you misread my comment? If you did how did you miss my saying the same thing regarding testing availability that you “corrected” me on? If we are referring to jails as being Petrie dishes, a) we’re correct, and b) that DOES meet criteria for testing. I say it’s a mess because of the complex web of uncertainty we have as we jerk around and hope we’re doing the responsible thing. We keep inmates in jail and we’re threatening their lives and the lives of the extended community beyond the jails. If we let them free without testing (as is likely the case because tests are limited) then we’re almost certainly endangering the outside community. Even house arrest will endanger the community along with family members. Anything short of immediate quarantine will endanger the community. Your ignorance, incredulity, and then insults at the end of your reply speak volumes. This really is a fucking mess. Be well. But they should be very discretionary because their Baby Yoda I wear blue for diabetes awareness faith hope love shirt and the rest of us are also a vulnerable population. Small infractions are understandable but serious crime, you better pay time. If we can afford to shed so many “criminals” from jail, so easily, can they really be touted as criminals? Or were they just statistics to bolster the conviction rates of prosecutors so they could circle jerk each other over jailing as many people as possible? Does the prosecution even care about true guilt? I think not. How in the World will prosecutors be able to advance their careers if they let even one minor lawbreaker go before serving their ridiculously over-inflated sentences?
