We are the only country that gives free college tuition to illegal immigrants and yet won’t even give that same courtesy to the children that are legal citizens. It’s messed up. dumb down our kids and educate foreigners that don’t belong here for free.what a broken system we have. Carleena Bhaduri Money is not unlimited and one must allocate money in a way that is best for everyone. People are working every day, do you not realize that or are people in retail, not real people? I have a family that works every day so your dog can have food and that is considered essential. Pet supplies are currently considered essential, but you want to make it seem like I am the one undervaluing life. I think someone who is not a citizen should rely on their government and taxes to take care of themselves or private individuals. Also, I have not seen any facts that point to this being about food or basic necessities. Please show me where this lack of aid means no food! Earl Cooke those who are undocumented still pay taxes. And students pay tuition – which is also taxed. You can still disagree with the ACLU here but thought you should know since you’re basing your argument on that – and so based on your argument people who are undocumented should also have a right to a stimulus check. I went to school and never paid taxes on my tuition. So I am not sure what you mean that by tuition is taxed. In fact, I had a reduced price from the And God said let there be CNAs who have ears that always listen arms that hugs and hold love that’s never ending and a heart that’s made of gold shirt paying for part of it, which is the exact opposite of it being taxed. You are not dealing with facts! But, if you can show me that tuition is taxed, I would be happy to see that information. Earl Cooke oh boy. It’s basically a stimulus check, from a different bill. Your argument is only students paying taxes (well you generalized to “just those paying taxes” but if we want to use language from the bill and the article)should receive it? Well, then all students should receive it because of all pay taxes, undocumented or otherwise. Your comment would have just made sense if you just said you disagreed with the ACLU stance because what you did say would then mean you agree that all students should benefit from this bill. If you don’t – then just say that instead of spreading this false concept that people, human beings, who are undocumented don’t pay taxes and therefore contribute nothing so should, therefore, get nothing.
